In this chapter George has finally come to the conclusion that its time for Lennie to move on. George shoots Lennie for his own good and for the good everyone else around them. It was the right decision in my opinion.
In this chapter Lennie goes to a man named Crooks room because he saw a light coming from his room. Lennie walks in uninvited and Crooks is not amused by this. Crooks talks about how he used to live on a ranch with his father and how he would play with all the kids in the area. Lennie tells him about he is going to go on a ranch with George and raise rabbits. Crooks tells Lennie what if George doesn't come back but Lennie doesn't believe him. Crooks realizes that he cant mock or make fun of Lennie also Crooks isn't liked by the other men on the ranch.
In this chapter Lennie kills Curley's wife and as a result Curley goes out hunting for him. He gets all the men together to go help him find Lennie when he does find him he says he will shoot him right in the gut. Even George has to go just so it doesn't look like he was in on the killing of Curley's wife in the barn Candy stays behind so he will stay out of trouble.
In this chapter Slim kills Candy's dog because it smelled so bad and it was so old. Slim also gives Lennie a puppy because he loves animals so much. Lennie plays with the puppy behind the barn. Also Lennie kills Curly who is the son of the ranch owner this means they either have to leave there new job or cover up the evidence.
In this chapter George and Lennie meet a man named Candy he shows them both around the ranch. Candy is a nice man bit he is missing one of his hands. He has a dog and is a great help to George and Lennie through out this chapter.
We meet George and Lennie to men trying to find jobs on a ranch. One is smarter than the other and the other just has something wrong with his head he kills animals by petting them which shows his strength. They are traveling trying to find work they go threw very nice and beautiful places along there way. "If I was alone I could live so easily" This shows that George doesn't really need Lennie but without him he would not be alive.
